A duck, in the dream, stands for a woman or a maid. Ducks live in water but dot get wet. It could also denote the comfort and satisfaction one will derive through eating the flesh of duck and the parable of the duck’s dependence on water can be likened to the sailors or fishermen and because of its gentle nature. But if a person dreams that he hears the quacking of the duck inside his house, this is a bad omen, It denotes great difficulties in the family or that place, or it could be announcing the passing away of someone very shortly.
