(Armor; Protection) In the dream, fasting denotes offerings and vows. If a person dreams that he interrupts his fasting; this warns that he may suffer an illness, go on a journey or the he is backbiting someone. If a person dreams that he interrupts his obligatory fast through forgetfulness; this predicts that such person will receive money or a gift that will please him. In the dream, fasting also denotes honour, a rise in one’s position or status; it could mean settlement of a debt or repentance from sin, or it could mean penitence for a sinner or that dreamer begets a son. If a person dreams that he sees himself observing the fast during the month of Ramadan; this indicates that the person gains understanding about an issue in which he has been having doubts; or it could mean that he recognises the truth without any further distortion or falsification. For a person the dream that he sees that he is the only one observing the obligatory fast, and if such person is unlettered; this dream predicts that such person will succeed in committing the entire Holy Quran to memory, he will attain spiritual maturity and receive good news.
