(Hand) Fingers are very important, they help a person’s worldly needs or craft and in the hereafter, they serve one’s benefits by pointing out what things are true and which are wrong. Generally, in the dream, fingers stand for a person’s children, wife, father and mother; they also denote a person’s property, money, wealth or craft. In the dream, positive looking fingers or an increase in the number of one’s fingers stand for growth, but deformed or crooked fingers mean the exact opposite. In the dream also, one’s five fingers represent the five times daily prayers. Where the five fingers are taken to denote the five days obligatory prayers, then the nails of the fingers stand for the supererogatory (arb. Nafl) prayers. Where the fingers are interpreted as money, then nails stand for the due arms tax (arb. Zakat). If in the dream, fingers are taken to represent an army, the fingers are their weapons. Also in the dream, fingers mean days, or months or years. Where finger are taken to mean money, if a person dreams that he cuts his fingers; this warns that he will suffer financial loss.
